About Mechanical Advantage

Mechanical Advantage – Littleton Robotics

The Littleton FRC team will meet weekly thru the summer and regularly in the fall to gain skills and practice. The competition season starts in early January 2017 when the specific game rules for that year are announced. The team then has about 6.5 weeks to build their robot before the competition rounds start. Along with building a robot the team members will develop skills that prepare them for careers in STEM and related fields.

Mechanical Advantage is actively looking for additional team members who are interested in engineering, robotics, writing, social media, graphic design, photography, and/or video production, as well as adult mentors with expertise in any of these fields. All local students are welcome regardless of experience and do not need to be students at Littleton High School. In addition, the team is looking for organizations willing to help sponsor the team.

Mechanical Advantage was founded in July 2016 by Littleton parents and currently, 27 students have registered. The team has two exceptional mentors: Dee Clark and Zac Temple. Dee and Zac are recent WPI graduates and each of them have 8 years of FIRST® experience.
